Since 1st May 2004, entrepreneurs conducting business activities in Poland have been able to apply for financial support originating from various community sources. The EU Funds in the form of non-refundable subsidies are available to enterprises operating in Poland, predominantly in three formats:

• the EU funds (ERDF, ESF, EAFRD, EFF),
• the Cohesion Fund,
• Community programs and initiatives

The forms of support from the EU budget are different in both the scope of support (e.g. the maximum, percentage level of project financing is specified individually for each program/fund) and purpose (expressed as objectives of a given program / fund).
